While walking my dog, I met a neighbor.
His dog looked so much like Samdori, who had passed away before, and he too had recently lost a beloved companion.
We spoke about how difficult it had been and found comfort in each other's understanding.
Even now, I sometimes find myself searching for Samdori's face in drifting clouds.
Some beings leave, but love does not.
Perhaps that is why we open our hearts again, and welcome another small life into our arms.
