Korean ink with Mineral Pigments on cold pressed Watercolor paper

Inspired by Ilwol Obongdo, the traditional Korean screen painting placed behind the king's throne during the Joseon Dynasty.
With the sun and moon appearing together above five peaks, the image represents balance, harmony, and the cosmic order of yin and yang and the five elements.
In this work, I reinterpret that ancient structure through flowing ink, erosion, and chance.
The mountains rise and dissolve at the same time-becoming less a symbol of authority and more a reflection on memory, impermanence, and the fragile tension between formation and disappearance.
